Graduation is the event you work towards for 4 years, whether you think about it or not. I was lucky enough to attend graduation to support my friends who had reached this incredible milestone.

The graduation experience is one I was expecting, but also wasn’t expecting at the same time. You expect it to be a bittersweet event, which it was - but there was also so much happiness in the air (to quote the graduate whose reflection for their walk across the stage was “master gives me a diploma, I’m free”). In movies and TV, they always paint graduation as a sad event everyone dreads. I am sure that is the case for many grads because graduation signifies them entering adulthood (terrifying). Still, I think the happiness around the event often gets ignored when it is depicted on screen. The support from the entire audience for every grad was lovely to watch, especially when someone’s family would loudly cheer for them! Watching people I’ve known for years walk across the stage puts into perspective how quickly time flies. It reminds me how important it is to live in the moment and say yes to as much as possible; you only get four years, so you may as well enjoy them.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025. You are all incredible individuals, and I hope you enjoyed your graduation.
