April is all about the arts! We began the month with the Arts Awards, which is where every Upper School student enrolled in an arts course comes together to recognize their peers for all of their hard work, as well as honour those who have made particularly strong contributions. Later, all the Upper School students gathered together in the Mandeville Theatre to kick off Arts in April. The crowd enjoyed many musical offerings from music classes and ensembles of many kinds. We enjoyed a performance of a song from the wonderful winter musical, "The Addams Family," and saw a sneak peek of some of the films that would be showcased at RIFF (Ridley Independent Film Festival) later that same week. The Gordon Speaker series featured the talented Ridley alumnae Georgie Murphy ‘19 and Wendy O’Brien ‘88, which was then followed by RIFF.

The week included:

  • Arts Assembly
  • DP Art Exhibition
  • Grade 9-12 Art and Design Showcase
  • Arts Awards
  • Film Showcase
  • RIFF x Crawford Gordon ‘56 Speaker Series event featuring Georgie and Wendy.
