Ridley recently held its annual Winter Sports Awards, celebrating the dedication and achievements of all student-athletes. Ridley Middle School and Upper School students alike gathered in the Mandeville Theatre for an afternoon of recognition and celebration of an amazing season. The event brought together various sport teams from hockey, basketball, volleyball to squash and swimming.

The ceremony began with opening remarks recognizing the commitment required to balance sports and academics. Then, there was a video sharing the highlights and memorable moments from the season.

Awards were presented to outstanding athletes, including MVP, Most Improved Player, and Best Rookie. Sportsmanship awards were also given to students who showed leadership, respect, and great team spirit. Throughout the evening, coaches made amazing and heartfelt speeches, showcasing the importance of teamwork, and how support and communication helped the teams succeed.

Overall, the Winter Sports Awards was a meaningful way to celebrate the season. It reminded everyone that beyond competition, sports teach valuable life lessons such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork. Congratulations to all athletes on a great winter season and good luck with the spring term!
